Urns for Ashes

Deciding how best to take care of a loved one’s ashes is an important and individual consideration.

Generally speaking there are three main choices; scattering ashes, burying a cremation urn or keeping the funeral urn on display as a lasting memorial.

We offer a selection of alternatives to suit all requirements. Our large variety of urns are made and finished to the highest quality and range from modern, contemporary pieces through to more traditional and classic styles. Your choice of materials is equally varied including brass, metal, wood, marble and even eco-friendly versions.

Scattering tubes are becoming increasingly popular and provide a modern alternative to more traditional urns. These tubes are suitable for scattering the ashes of your loved one in your special place of remembrance.

We would be delighted to help you make the most appropriate choice and can offer further details at any one of funeral homes.

FAQ's

When Can I Collect Ashes?

Ashes are usually returned to our care 2–3 working days after the funeral.
We don’t typically contact families to notify them of their arrival, as we understand this can be a very personal and emotional time. Rest assured, we will look after the ashes until you feel ready to collect them.

When the time is right, you’re welcome to visit the branch where you arranged the funeral, between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We recommend giving us a quick call beforehand so we can ensure everything is prepared for you, and confirm who is authorised to collect the ashes.

Unless agreed otherwise, ashes can only be released to our client, who is the person that signed the cremation paperwork.
